Christmas Box

*The gift of Christmas is Jesus. 

Supplies:

white cardstock

scissors

glue

thin ribbon

Directions:

1. Carefully cut a CROSS shape from the cardstock 6.25" x 5"

2. Fold to make 6 squares, 4 horizontal and 3 vertical.

3. The top of the cross and the wings each have an extra .25" edge. Fold the 3 edges.

4. Spread glue on the backside of the wings' edges.

5. Fold the squares into a box and press the glued edges together.

6. Choose something to "put" in your box- a Thank you prayer, a kiss to God, a small plastic baby wrapped in a material scrap etc.

7. Tie and ribbon around the box and curl the ends.

Tell children that God's love for all the world brought him here to live and love and die. The CROSS reminds us of Jesus, God's gift to us.
