Rubbed Thankyous
Learning to be THANKFUL can be fun.
Supplies:
Supplies:
empty food boxes ie.pasta boxes or cereal boxes
crayons with the paper peeled off
liquid glue ie. Elmers
white printer paper
cardstock
tape
scissors
*Prepare for preschoolers by cutting the stencils from boxes ahead of time. If the stencils have delicate parts, glue them to cardstock.
Directions:
1. Cut shapes and words out of the food boxes. If you don't have an artistic hand, you can find shapes and words in magazines or print them off the computer. Put a piece of cardstock under the magazine picture and cut out the shape.
2. Add details to your shapes with glue. Stripes, spots and swirls look nice on lettering. Little angels shapes can be given decorative dresses with glue etc. Allow the glue to fully dry!
3. Roll a piece of tape and stick your stencil down to a table. You can also glue your stencil to a piece of cardstock. Put a piece of printer paper on top.Secure it with tape so it doesn't move.
4. Using the side of a crayon, press and rub across the page. The harder you press, the more defined the embossing will be. Layer with different colored crayons
